How to measure the kitchen?Measuring a kitchen accurately is crucial, especially if you are planning renovations, installing new appliances, or designing layouts. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to measure your kitchen. Additionally, please refer to the attached PDF file for a comprehensive guide. ● Gather Tools: Get a tape measure, preferably a 25-foot one. Have a pencil and paper or a digital device to record measurements. ● Draw a Floor Plan: Sketch a rough floor plan of your kitchen on paper. Include walls, doors, windows, and any permanent fixtures. ● Start with Walls: Measure each wall's length from corner to corner. Record these measurements on your floor plan. Note the height of the walls. ● Doors and Windows: Measure the width and height of each door and window. Note their positions in relation to the corners of the room. ● Measure Wall Protrusions: Measure any permanent fixtures like built-in cabinets or alcoves. Record their dimensions and positions. ● Appliance Measurements: Measure the width, height, and depth of appliances (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher). Note their locations and distances from walls. ● Ceiling Height: Measure the height of the ceiling at various points in the kitchen. ● Take Photos: Capture photos of your kitchen from multiple angles for a visual reference. ● Verify: Double-check all measurements for accuracy. Remember to be precise and patient during the process. Accurate measurements are essential for any successful kitchen project. If possible, consult with cabinet installer or ask us about measurements service. Always verify measurements with cabinet installer.

What is a warranty? Please be aware that each cabinet maker has its own unique warranty policy. Below is a simplified explanation of the standard warranty terms. While our store itself does not provide a warranty, it's important to note that the cabinets come with a warranty from the respective cabinet makers. We are ready to assist you with any inquiries or warranty claims you may have. Feel free to reach out, and we'll be happy to help. One year limited warranty: warrants that all cabinets sold are free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not include labor for removal or replacement of defective part. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable to any other party. This warranty does not extend to defects caused by improper handling, storage, installation assembly or disassembly, damage, product modifications, exposure to the elements, misuse, abuse, or negligence. Variations and environmental exposures not covered. By purchasing the product, the original purchaser acknowledges that natural wood may vary in texture, color, and wood grain and it may exhibit subtle changes as it ages. Sunlight, some, moisture, household cleaners, and other environmental conditions may cause the materials to vary from their original color and to warp, split, or crack. These variations are considered to be natural and related to the environmental exposure of the product and are not covered under this warranty.

How much space between countertop and top cabinets? How much space leave for backsplash? The ideal space between the countertop and top cabinets is typically recommended to be around 18 inches. However, flexibility exists, and variations like 17, 19, or 20 inches can be considered based on personal comfort and aesthetic preferences. It's important to note that if the top cabinets are installed too high, the bottom of the cabinets may become visible, so careful consideration of the overall design and functionality is advised. Additionally, when planning for a backsplash, leaving sufficient space above the countertop is essential to ensure a seamless and visually appealing transition between the two elements.

What size of sink fits in my sink cabinet?Select a sink that is at least 3 inches smaller than your cabinet. For example, choose a 26- or 27-inch sink to fit within your 30-inch cabinet if you opt for an under-mount sink. The cabinet walls are 1/2 or 3/4 inch each, and the lip of the sink adds another inch. If you select a larger sink, there is a possibility that you would have to cut the cabinet walls (countertop installers don’t do it, and you might have to pay extra for an additional installation appointment if the sink doesn’t fit).

Do we offer measurements service?Yes, we proudly offer a complimentary one-time measurements service for locations within a 30-mile radius. For distances between 30 and 60 miles, we require additional deposit, which will be credited towards your final purchase, essentially making the measurements service free. To arrange for measurements, we invite you to visit our showroom to explore our cabinet options. Additionally, please download and complete our measurements appointment application, attached here. Once filled out, kindly email the application to ihor@novukit.com. It's essential to note that while we provide measurements, we highly recommend having your cabinet installer double-check them, as we do not handle cabinet installations, and individual installers may have their own methods. Your satisfaction and precision are our top priorities. Our kitchen cabinet measurement service provides general dimensions to assist with planning your project. However, it is not a substitute for professional architectural or design services. And we don’t offer professional architectural or design services. Verification Required: We advise that your installer or contractor double-check all measurements before installation. Customer Responsibility: The final accuracy of measurements and their approval remain the buyer’s responsibility. This step ensures your cabinets fit perfectly and prevents potential issues during installation.
